Welcome to New Beginnings Church of Punxsutawney, where we don't believe in "Religion". Rather... we believe in having a real relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Please join us!
We’re honored to have this opportunity to welcome you! Thank you for visiting our website. We constructed this website to be a blessing, a resource, a tool to connect with you and also to strengthen you in your spiritual journey. As you take a moment to look around, we know you’ll be encouraged and inspired by getting to know the Church Family at New Beginnings Church of Punxsutawney.
Remember Jesus loves you, We love you, and you are awesome!
We believe that God is all about New Beginnings in all areas of your life. We want to help you have a new start where you will never have to start over! You may be wondering why there is a plant woven into the symbol. There is an amazing story behind this … go to our About page to find out more.
Our church's deep desire is to see souls won to the Lord. It is our desire to design a large variety of outreaches that are creative and relatable to people today.
Our goal is to do one or more each quarter. We also want to have outreaches that reach multiple needs on many levels.
Be sure to check the News Tab to see what outreaches are coming!
To be a strong Christian, one must spend time in the Word to build a strong foundation on which God can complete the good work that He has started in you. Imagine trying to build a house, and only having half of the blueprint to work from? It would be hard to get it right. There would be a lot of guess work, and when you are building something, if you are even off a quarter of an inch, it could cause major issues. Building a house is a complicated process. Now imagine building the house without the completed blueprints, and without an expert there to guide you through all the details and explaining what the various steps are.
God wants to build something more important than a house with you. God wants to build an AWESOME life for you. He gives us the instructions, the Bible, but sometimes it is hard to understand what God is saying. To make matters worse, with our busy lives today, attending a class on a regular basis is hard. However, the need is still there so that we can begin building the life God always wanted us to have.
The solution is, The SPICE of LIFE School of the Bible - which stands for:
Self-Paced Individual Christian Education to help you Live In Faith Everyday.
It has 101 classes to choose from.
How it works:
In the back left of the sanctuary, there is a booth for the SPICE of LIFE School of the Bible. There you will find a list of all the classes available. Sign-up for the class you would like to take, and on the following Sunday, the class will be there for you to take home. It is a self-guided study that will have you answer questions about what you read.
When you complete the course, bring it back and you will get feedback from one of the Pastors. There are no right or wrong answers. The questions are to prompt you to think about what you are reading.
Then choose another class.
Take as much time as you need to complete the class. If you get stuck you can call one of the Pastors for one on one help. As you complete classes, you will get a certificate of completion.
Our desire is that everyone, no matter their schedule, can have the opportunity to get closer to Jesus and learn about His word. Taking just 1 or 2 classes a year will be a great beginning to your foundational growth in Christ, and if you have time to do more, that would create even greater growth for you. Happy studying and foundation building in Christ!
Classes offered:
We all have addictions in our life. An addiction is anything that keeps you from being the person God created you to be. Addictions come in many forms, and some are very easy to keep hidden, however they all have the potential to destroy us. Jesus wants to set you free. Pastor Devin and John Hain give practical Biblical advice on how to avoid and overcome any addiction in your life. The class is also for those who have someone in their life who has an addiction to help you be able to help them.
